About DialPace

DialPace is an independent project — a two-person team of runners and builders — making free, fast running calculators you can trust without handing over an email.

What we do

We build calculators for the numbers runners actually use: pace and splits, race-time predictions, training zones, VDOT, and the physiology around them. Every tool runs instantly in your browser, works on a phone, and never asks you to sign up. One recent result in — your predictions, paces and goal splits out, all from the same fitness and all consistent with each other.

How we work

Every formula on DialPace cites a public, primary source — Jack Daniels' VDOT, Pete Riegel's race-prediction model, the Karvonen heart-rate method, ACSM's metabolic equations, World Masters Athletics age-grading and the like. We compute in SI units and convert at the edges so a mile view and a kilometre view never quietly disagree. If a formula has no public source, we don't ship it. The exact reference for each calculation is listed on its own page.

What we're not

DialPace gives estimates from public sports-science formulas — general information to plan and pace your running. It is not medical, coaching or professional advice. For anything that affects your health, talk to a qualified professional. See our disclaimer.
